iWay Software, an Information Builders company and an innovator of enterprise integration solutions, recently announced that Mark Anthony Group, a privately held manufacturer and distributor of premium wines and alcoholic beverages, has selected integration technology from iWay Software to automate its warehouse operations. The implementation of this technology has eliminated paper-based methods, yielding a substantial boost in productivity. iWay helps manage the order-to-cash cycle for fifteen million cases of alcoholic beverages each year.
“Our orders are processed up to 75 percent faster thanks to iWay,” said Ray Cooper, developer and analyst at Mark Anthony Group. “Our information is more accurate as well, since we have eliminated human error and guesswork. The performance of iWay, and its ability to adjust to our needs, is excellent; and the stability of iWay is leaps and bounds ahead of what we were previously using. iWay’s ability to communicate with virtually any system makes it a very valuable tool for us.”
Cooper and his team use iWay Service Manager to control essential shipping, receiving, and warehousing business processes, such as receiving stock, identifying non-registered products, managing inventory, picking orders, shipping goods to retailers, and invoicing those retailers. They also use iWay to manage EDI transactions with supply chain partners that produce beverages, bottles, labels, and crates. iWay’s EDI capabilities are not only faster, they also are more accurate, which has improved data quality for all parties.
Mark Anthony Group evaluated middleware solutions from leading technology providers. iWay emerged as the most flexible and cost-effective solution and could be deployed on virtually any platform. Developers also liked iWay’s intuitive graphical interface and developer workbench, which made it easy to create custom integration components and workflows.
“Because Mark Anthony Group functions in a highly regulated industry, there is a great deal of government reporting involved with the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse,” explained Robert Eckley, IT team leader at Mark Anthony Group. “iWay has simplified the process of creating accurate reports to share with the government, handling many of the reports required by the Canadian Liquor Control Board. iWay’s reporting capabilities are phenomenal.”
